Independent Living Vernon is responsible for the administration of this program which issues Parking Placards entitling people with mobility disabilities to utilize accessible parking spaces.

A doctor's assessment is required to determine if the placard will be issued as a:

Temporary - 3 months to 1 years

Permanent - re-newable every three years. Doctors assesment only need for the first time applicant.

Organizational - must be renewed every year (Does not require doctor's information, but a business card will be needed.)


All permits cost $22.00. Payment is required at the time the application is processed. Payment can be made by one of the following three ways:

Mail - Mail a cheque or money order to #107, 3402-27th Avenue, Vernon BC V1T 1S1

Telephone - Call locally 250-545-9292 or toll free 1-877-288-1088 to make a payment with a credit card.

Fax - Fax both sides of a completed application to 250-545-9226, including credit card information. Click on the link at the bottom of the page for a copy of the application.

E-Transfers - We now office E-transfer for an easy payment option,

Our office hours are now Monday to Thursday 8 AM to 3: 30 and Fridays 8:30 - 4 PM closed for lunch between 12:00pm and 12:30pm.
